Now, with Batman restoring order, Black Canary has returned home to set things right, vowing to never again silence her canary’s cry. Sometime prior to the events of Injustice, both Ollie and Dinah later rejoined the Justice League.ĭinah Lance nearly sacrificed everything in her fight against the Regime but was forced to flee before the fight was done. Upon discovering that Ollie had a son from a previous relationship, she agreed to help raise him. When Ollie quit the Justice League, Dinah soon followed. Throughout the many years of her tenure in the Justice League, her relationship with Ollie deepened to the point where they had romantic feelings for one another. It was there that she first met Oliver Queen, A.K.A, Green Arrow, whom she formed a tentative friendship with. She was the one who suggested the name to begin with. Not long after her start as Black Canary, she became a founding member of the Justice League. She later discovered that she possessed this ability as the result of being cursed by the supervillain known as The Wizard, during her childhood.
Unlike her mother, she had the power to perform a “Canary Cry”, a super-powered shriek attack for use against her foes. After she trained under the superhero known as Wildcat, she assumed her mother’s codename and adopted a costume of her own. Despite how much her mother had hoped otherwise, Dinah pursued the path of the crime fighter at 19 years old, against her mother’s wishes. Dinah Lance was born to Larry Lance, a local police officer, and the original Black Canary, Dinah Drake.
